Traffic Pattern for Dec. 4 Parade

The Daytona Beach Shores Department of Public Safety announces a special traffic pattern that will be in effect for the Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 4. The traffic pattern will begin at 12:45 p.m. and remain in effect until the conclusion of the parade at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Northbound traffic on South Atlantic Avenue (A1A) – between Emelia Avenue and Thames Avenue – will be directed to Cardinal Boulevard and South Peninsula Drive, as all northbound lanes will be closed.

The southbound lanes of South Atlantic Avenue (A1A) between Emilia and Thames will also be closed, and traffic will be directed to Cardinal Boulevard and South Peninsula Drive – except between Van Avenue and Dunlawton Boulevard, where the southbound lanes will remain open.

The parade will begin at 2 p.m. Dec. 4. The route will begin at Crabby Joe’s parking lot, 3701 S. Atlantic Ave., and travel north on South Atlantic Avenue (A1A) for nearly 2 miles, turning left (west) onto Bellemead Drive and ending at the Shores Community Center.
