Friday, May 27 – Sea Turtle Lighting Expo, 1-7 p.m. at the Shores Community Center, 3000 Bellemead Drive, Daytona Beach Shores. Presented by Volusia County Environmental Management in partnership with the City of Daytona Beach Shores. Learn about sea turtles, the Volusia County lighting ordinance and beachside lighting methods. Vendors will display sea turtle-friendly lighting fixtures and window treatments. Volusia County Habitat Conservation Plan staff will be there to answer questions about the lighting ordinance, and sea turtle and marine conservation groups will discuss local conservation initiatives. A full schedule of presentations is planned. Free admission.
