Economic Development

The exceptional quality of life in Daytona Beach Shores, combined with a mix of year-round residents, seasonal residents and visitors from around the world, makes the City of Daytona Beach Shores the perfect place to locate your business.

Commercial space is available for immediate occupancy for professional offices, small businesses, retail, attractions and restaurants. There are prime spots opportunities on major roadways including the main commercial artery, Highway A1A (South Atlantic Avenue).

New businesses may be eligible for a Lease Subsidy Grant. Businesses that are awarded the grant are eligible for subsidies for three years.

When you are ready to open a new business, expand an existing business or redevelop a commercial parcel, the City’s Economic Development Team will guide you through the required steps at no charge. The city supports commercial ventures and will assist in making the process go as smoothly and quickly as possible. Contact Economic Development Director Nancy Maddox at 386-763-7572 to get started.

You can reach the City’s Building Division, Business Tax Receipt Division (known formerly as an occupational license) and Planning Division through the Community Services Department webpage.
