Public Works provides essential services to the citizens of Daytona Beach Shores in a prompt, courteous, safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Public Works, through its dedicated employees, strives to plan, design, build, maintain, and operate public infrastructure in a manner that respects the environment and the ability of government to adequately preserve these assets for succeeding generations.
The Public Works Division is comprised of both maintenance workers and parks and recreation workers. This division is responsible for maintaining our local streets, sidewalks, storm-water system, and all work in the rights-of-way. Additionally, this division maintains all of the City's parks and beach walkways. This division is also responsible for the maintenance of the City's new street light system on South Atlantic Avenue.
